People & Culture Workshop – Sydney
By Mark Duke | CFO | London
During May we hosted a People & Culture workshop for our Australian Team. We had the opportunity to share and discuss the results of the recent Culture Survey, which highlighted several points.
The survey showed that our People have a preference towards the Clan and Adhocracy Cultural Types. This survey shows Simble is held together through collaboration, loyalty and strong values, and at the same time is dynamic, and creative.
Success is defined by not only by addressing the needs of clients but being innovative and delighting them. It is also critical that our people are nurtured and encouraged to be curious and to grow in their personal development.
The current and preferred perceptions were very similar. The other interesting point to note was the variance between the hierarchy and market cultural types. Collectively we understand the importance of being a high-performing organisation and achieving results, but we believed that we needed more structure, process and focus on delivering those results.
Following on from this, we outlined our Core Values, CHIEFS.
We then spent some time looking at our personal Team Management profile, which shows each of us as individuals our preferred way of working. Unsurprising, I am very analytical, structured, and liked to get a lot of stuff done – typical Accountant!
I’ll be hosting similar workshops in the UK and Vietnam during June.
